What is the fate of the flood victims worth to the government? In any case, political competition is always more important to her.

When Laschet and Dreyer learned that lateral thinkers and so-called corona deniers were collecting donations for the flood victims and even lending a hand on the spot, they had nothing better to do than send police to prevent demonstrations by government opponents. The police only saw people in work clothes, clearing away rubble and distributing food. Before shovels could be handed to the police, she was gone again. Others who approached with heavy clearing equipment were prevented from continuing. On instructions from the state government, they were told that the central coordination office for self-help had been dissolved. But it still existed and urgently needed the clearance equipment and helpers. In a roundabout way, the excavators, etc., were brought in after all. You were urgently expected. The rumor spread by the politicians of the dissolution of the coordination office was quickly refuted via the digital connections.

A self-help team, which was supported by the parents' initiative “Parents Stand Up” and looked after the children with psychologists and other specialists, was housed in a school according to local agreement. At the direction of the state government, she had to leave school and camp in tents.

At the Nürburgring, three hundred firefighters and several teams of dogs waited for days to be deployed. They were urgently needed, but their political reliability had not been verified. Hundreds of Dixie toilets could not be brought to the place because the government banned the transport because the funding was organized by donations from the government opponents.

Only in disregard of official instructions and with extreme commitment could the local emergency services and the helpers recover corpses, clear debris, make roads passable and provide drinking water.

While state aid did not arrive at all or was very delayed, the television presented politicians in rubber boots. This had already worked when the Oder flooded and gave Schröder a head start over Stoiber. The Bavarian cardboard nose would have liked to have come to the fore, but this time the media pushed Merkel, Laschet and Dreyer forward. And Scholz was allowed to speak of amounts in the millions, but immediate aid was made more difficult and the helpers defamed. The residents will not forget that.

Anyone who still believed that this government is not ready to use all the reprisals available to it will be taught better.

  1. I experienced the following: When the heavy rain flooded my sister's street here in Dortmund and the water was already entering the houses, she and neighbors tried to reach 112. Without success! I then tried it with the same result. Now you could say, yes, the fire brigade was just overloaded and therefore no way through. But it was not so. The first blue light could only be heard after almost 1 hour ... that's how long you let the situation get worse without giving any help. Was this the fault of the fire brigade? Since our emergency networks are now forcibly digitized, sabotage is child's play. And then the hotline numbers of the city of Hagen ... none of the 3 numbers were active. I tried to reach someone there for 2 days. It was never busy. When I called the city council, the friendly young lady knew NOTHING. The British media were really quick on the scene, and they even knew what the government knew. Terrific.
