He only becomes suspicious when he is suddenly supposed to receive his pension later and everything is becoming more expensive and a virus, China or Putin is said to be to blame.
Government officials seem crazy to many people,
if they now provoke war against Russia. But this is not insanity like people who hear voices or are mentally ill. This experience cannot be transferred to government officials. These people are not crazy, they are extreme personalities with an extreme instinct for power and great acting talent. You can't treat them psychiatrically. Gradually, the audience learns that.
But people are trapped in the circumstances and cannot escape without endangering their families.
