WE THE PEOPLE Are more than fear

The Womens March, a great popular movement that arose spontaneously among the women of the USA, with the day of the protests on January 22.01.17nd, XNUMX, can be regarded as a historic event. Just as the global civil resistance weakened the US military strength in the Vietnam War, the racism and sexism of the Republican gangs are now being pushed back in the White House.

Did the residents of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia hear the calls? What is the thought of the coal worker from the Appalachian territories, who has to litigate for years for the recognition of his pneumonia and may die prematurely, while at the same time the liberal upper class of the east coast celebrates its financial excesses without anyone bothering them? What was the thought of the steel worker from Detroit, who worked shifts at the sheet metal press until he was fifty and suddenly became dependent on welfare payments after his company had closed? What remorse did the woman have, who raised children and worked for years as a cleaning lady for a minimum wage and now, in order to be heard at all, has to put up with the charlatan who traded in real estate? Or the truck driver from Wisconsin who has to drive twelve hours a day, six days a week, and yet has only a modest income on the verge of subsistence. Meanwhile, a wealthy class in Florida has their parcels delivered from Amazon by a Hispanic messenger and their front gardens are tended by Latinos. In the dream world of Hollywood the coal worker, the steel worker, the truck driver are nonexistent. The presidential elections were the only opportunity to be heard. For better or worse, they had to give their voice to the loudmouth that the republican establishment put before them with the use of sedition.

Racism thus showed itself to be a component of a class society that could be activated at any time.
