History falsifier Greta Thunberg?

G. Thunberg and Co are spreading a video in which they shout: “No climate protection on occupied territory.” Professor Homburg therefore accuses G. Thunberg of falsifying history on Twitter (X). Jews received the territory of Israel from the UN in 1948. Therefore this is a legal process.

However, this presentation does not indicate that

  1. The UN was dominated by the colonial powers France and Great Britain, later dominated by the USA.
  2. The colonial powers dismembered the Arab region in the Sykes Agreement and divided it among themselves. Palestine became a British territory.
  3. The Israeli army and Israeli settlers occupied ever larger parts of Palestine, contrary to UN resolutions.

Two quotes throw a telling spotlight:

Lord Balfour, (Memorandum, 1919): “The four great powers are committed to Zionism. And Zionism is - rightly or wrongly, for better or worse - committed to centuries-old traditions. All this is of incomparably greater importance than the desires and prejudices of 700 Arabs who now inhabit this ancient land.”

Hannah Arendt, (Documents of Zionism, 1945): “Herzl did not understand that the country of his dreams did not exist, that there was no place in the world where the national body he imagined could live and that the real historical one The development of a nation does not take place within a biological entity that is sealed off from the outside. And even if there had been a country without a people, Herzl’s policies would still have created significant difficulties in relations between the new Jewish state and other nations.”

Where is Thunberg's falsification of history, if you ignore the connection to climate protection?

“It is only because of the suffering of the Palestinian people that anyone is paying attention to the cause of Palestinian statehood today.

Or the well-being of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.

Or the inviolability of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

All of these were Hamas' stated goals in its October 7 attack.

And all goals are achieved at this moment.

Only thanks to the actions of Hamas and the sacrifices of the Palestinian people.

This makes Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel the most successful military attack of this century.”

“As a descendant of a Jewish family that was wiped out except for one person under fascism, I hereby register my strongest protest against their presumption to want to speak for Jews in this country. There are still people living in this country who themselves or whose parents and grandparents were victims of the Shoah. They have their own voice and do not need your patronizing, historically forgetful and Eurocentric advocacy.

Furthermore, the State of Israel does not have the right to speak for us either. This state is itself the result of a colonization ideology that, in its ethnic-chauvinistic character, is in no way inferior to the racist colonization and missionary efforts of earlier centuries. If, in view of the crimes against humanity that the Israeli armed forces have repeatedly committed against the Palestinian civilian population, in view of the illegal and violent settler colonialism that has been going on for decades, in view of the thousands of harassment, arrests and torture in Israeli prisons, they can think of nothing else but an apologetic confirmation of Israeli self-defense doctrine, which is nothing other than a legitimization of mass murder, then it would be better to remain silent. Stop wallowing in moral arrogance. They have learned nothing, absolutely nothing, from the history of the Shoah.”

  3. “Dr. Hamam Allouh, a nephrology specialist, was killed along with his family in an Israeli airstrike on their home. The last time he was asked why he didn't want to be evacuated, he replied: "Who will treat the patients?" I didn’t go to medical school for years to think about my life and leave patients.”

  4. “The role of racism has also been central to US strategy. Similar to how Israeli officials referred to Palestinians as “human animals,” the U.S. military dehumanized the Vietnamese.

“The idea was that the Vietnamese weren't real people,” says Turse, “they were subhuman, mere 'slit-eyes' who could be killed or abused at will. I've spoken to veterans who told me that they were told from basic training, 'Never call them Vietnamese, call them slit-eyes, slit-eyes, slant-eyes, rice-eaters.' Anything to take away their humanity, dehumanize them and make it easy to see every Vietnamese – all Vietnamese – as the enemy.
Israel's current genocide against Palestinians in Gaza is a continuation of the horrific killings of civilians carried out by the United States and its NATO allies since World War II.

The atrocities committed in Palestine are similar to those in Fallujah. Washington's fingerprints are on the Gaza genocide. Netanyahu has the full support of the Biden administration.
From Dresden to Gaza (1945-2023): The deaths of 40+ million people

From Dresden to Gaza, the U.S.’s “characteristic contempt for humanity” has led to the deaths of more than 40 million people.

The people of the Global South are in the way of Washington and its agents who covet the valuable natural resources that these people happen to live over or near.

The massacres of the people of Gaza, Congo, and Iraq (among others) facilitate access to these natural resources (natural gas in the case of Gaza) and ensure the continued impoverishment of the Global South and the resulting enrichment of the US empire.”

“The wars in Ukraine and Israel also have significant financial consequences for average taxpayers. In the EU, this can be observed in Ukraine - over 200 billion have been spent on financing weapons and state functions alone, and the sanctions and waves of refugees cost billions more. Further tax resources will be spent on the ongoing war in Israel and the expected new flows of refugees.

The Mises Institute - Austrian Ecenomics, Freedom, And Peace - addresses the economic consequences of the Israel War because the "regime of the United States has taken sides in the war between Israel and Hamas and has committed itself to Israel's continued bombing of men, women and to finance children in the Gaza Strip who are not fighters. The infrastructure of the northern Gaza Strip is now almost completely destroyed and millions of Gazans are displaced and homeless. Almost ten times more people from the Gaza Strip have died in the conflict than Israelis. Many Gazans have fled to the southern part of the Gaza Strip, but homelessness and abject poverty await them there." It should be added that Israel is also waging war against the Palestinians in the West Bank."

“What we're really seeing is that the United States, having fought Russia to the last Ukrainian and threatening to fight Iran to the last Israeli, is trying to send weapons to Taiwan to say: Do you want it? not fight to the last Taiwanese against China?

And that's really the US strategy around the world; they try to get other countries to fight wars to gain their own control.

BEN NORTON: Michael, thank you for being with me today. This is November 9th, and the latest death toll in the Gaza war is that Israel has killed more than 10.000 Palestinians.

The United Nations has described the Gaza Strip as a “children’s cemetery.” More than 4.000 children were killed. About 40% of the victims are children.

And the United States has continued to support Israel, not only diplomatically and politically, for example by vetoing resolutions calling for a ceasefire in the UN Security Council, but in addition the US has sent billions of dollars to Israel.

Not just the $3,8 billion that the United States gives Israel in military aid each year, but tens of billions of dollars more.

So I'm wondering if you could give us your analysis of why you think the US is investing so many resources into supporting Israel while it's clearly committing war crimes.

MICHAEL HUDSON: Well, certainly they support Israel, but they don't support Israel because that's an altruistic act.

For the United States, Israel is its landed aircraft carrier in the Middle East. Israel is the starting point for America to control the Middle East.”

  7. “South Africa’s application states:

Israel's actions and omissions complained of by South Africa are genocidal in nature because they are aimed at destroying a significant part of the national, racial and ethnic group of Palestinians, namely the part of the Palestinian group in the Gaza Strip (“Palestinians in Gaza”). The acts in question include the killing of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the infliction of severe physical and psychological harm, and the imposition of living conditions aimed at their physical annihilation. All of these acts are attributable to Israel, which has failed to prevent genocide and is committing genocide in flagrant violation of the Genocide Convention, and which has also violated and continues to violate its other fundamental obligations under the Genocide Convention, including by: “It has not prevented or punished direct and public incitement to genocide by senior Israeli officials and others.”

  8. Zionism can be viewed as fascism adapted to the conditions of the Middle East and Anglo-American imperialism's quest for domination over this region. For, as the descriptions in this article and the reality of apartheid experienced by the Palestinian people over the last 76 years show, the characteristics of Zionism are very similar to those of traditional fascism, adapted to the conditions of the time and geographical location. The State of Israel was created by imperialism and has incorporated Zionist mythology into its education system and other forms of reproduction of official ideology, as well as integrated fascist militias into its military and police forces. Zionism – the State of Israel – is fascist imperialism applied to Palestine.”

  9. “We wholeheartedly reject Zionism itself as a racist and colonial ideology.

We know that our security, our dignity and our souls as Jewish people are found in solidarity, not apartheid. In multi-ethnic coalitions against white supremacy, not in coalitions with white right-wing extremists.

By channeling our fear, our anger and our grief towards a movement for justice, not towards major military powers.

We will not allow ourselves to be used as a moral cover for the oppression of the Palestinian people.

    Not in our name. ”
