The flu wave is over, now the pieces of our economic and social model must be swept up. The ugly side of our neoliberal form of society is becoming visible: the rich countries had to fear whether their run-down health systems would be able to cope with a mass panic, in the poorer countries brutality set in, customs and decency in dealing with illness and death proved to be of no use and were put aside calmly. Political apocalyptic sentiment spreads “After the crisis nothing will be as it was before”.

As already after the fall of the “Third Reich”, the subject mentality has not disappeared. The Stasi thinking that the former citizens of the GDR still know well is officially promoted. The prime ministers of the federal states act like little Mielkes and make spying, denunciation and harassment a law. Police rule the streets. They have not yet dared to imprison the spokesmen of a resistance or to expel them and withdraw their citizenship. Would the Federal Constitutional Court then also duck? When prosperity falls away, the free democratic basic order becomes an empty phrase.

The interaction with the media works excellently, they continuously spread the legend of the malicious virus in order to frighten the people. The political class wants to continue to do so after the end of the flu wave and is spreading the horror scenario of a second wave of infection, which would be imminent to maintain the state of overriding fundamental rights for as long as possible.

If the people enter consciousness, which many have long suspected that the flu virus was inflated to an extraordinary risk and served to justify a demonstration of power, the extent of the long-emerging economic crisis becomes visible.

It was so close to tying up medical imposters from the Charité for a political hussar ride. So you can spread the blame for the breakdown over several shoulders. It is remarkable, however, that the left-liberal press would unanimously and blindly follow the government course, while the more right-wing FAZ also revealed the sober truth. There was still a bit of decency not to go along with the fraud.

But how should the political class and its media followers now get out of the forced situation? Of course they will summon the lock down as a rescue, make all sorts of statistics and feign care for the old and the sick. But she won't be able to talk nicely about the economic and socio-political lock down.

  1. Kretschmann says that we are all getting poorer. Is this so? Kretschmann, a philistine? What defines a philistine?

    1. The philistine has renounced all his life, he continues to renounce and suffers from it. According to Protestant ethics, Kretschmann believes that he has earned his post. Should the other citizens work as he does and also impose so much waiver! Therefore, we should all be poorer after the crisis, then we understand the sense of giving up. Of course, this no longer affects him, even if he would generously halve his salary.
The philistine feels good when the others are just as bad as he is himself, so Kretschmann's statements encounter a widespread mood. He has no eye on the millions of unemployed. Suffice it to say that things would get better after the crisis. However, there will be no “after the crisis” for the majority of the population; Italy, Spain and Greece have been in permanent crisis mode since the so-called financial crisis of two thousand and eight. And rule over these countries was more important to the German political apparatus than an economy for the benefit of the nations. This rule with the help of the austerity is the cause of the beginning breakdown and it does not look as if this knowledge will prevail.
Although leading economists call Scholz and Altmaier stupid, they are certainly power-conscious. That is why they came into these positions. A good dose of cynicism and acting are of course part of it. But they are more suitable for political operations than expert economists. For the political exploitation of the Corona crisis, not relevant experts were brought in but medical imposters. Ms. Karliczek has already approved over a hundred million euros.

  2. Quote: “that the flu virus has been puffed up into an extraordinary danger”.

Sorry, but I am afraid to call Covid-19 the flu virus, even in the media context of the simplification. Influenza viruses were never mentioned in the press as the reason for the current deaths and lock-down.

Correct me if I'm wrong: Influenza viruses, which commonly lead to “flu”, belong to a completely different genus than the Covid-19 virus. Yes, it may not be as bad as it is claimed, but by the definition of the term it is definitely not a flu virus that can be vaccinated against.

    (Flu: https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthomyxoviridae,
    COVID-19: https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronaviridae).

If I am correct, I would advise you to correct this error, as it appears in several of your articles and could be interpreted as a deliberate misrepresentation.
