The lying debate about a basic pension

The most flattering claims are just good enough to polemicize against a basic pension: “They all have real estate and don't need a pension. I know someone who has two houses and moves into Hartz IV ... " Or the dentist's wife is brought into play, which requires that a means test be required. The politicians of the right-wing parties are somewhat more skilful in their statements and state that there is no money. They mobilize envy and resentment and suppress the fact that they manage the money of the working class here and not the wealth of the wealthy. The media mainstream, on the other hand, and even the central organ of the German bourgeoisie, the FAZ, praised the SPD's concept, knowing full well that it will not be realized.

According to the current social legislation of Schröder and Fischer, the unemployed person, who has paid 50 or 60 000 Euro into the pension fund, will only receive a fraction of the income if he becomes unemployed. Most of the sums paid remain confiscated. Now, according to the new plans of the SPD leadership, a larger proportion of the contributions withheld is to be paid by giving the unemployed person two years instead of one year before he has to accept lower work: a small concession, however, with great effect for the person concerned. And already poison CDU and FDP and try to play the middle class against the working class. Nahles and Scholz, on the other hand, apologize for their outrageous plans and point to the movement of the yellow vests, which threatens Germany as well.

Demonstrations of the movement “stand up” are planned for the weekend in the capitals of the federal states and there is no telling whether the movement will become radicalized and gain the same influence as the yellow vests movement in France.

It is noteworthy, after all, that the SPD first had to be strangled by the electorate in order to dissuade them at least in their program from their anti-social course. Whether it is still needed, however, is questionable: FDP and Greens already craving to take over their government chairs.
