Lateral thinking in Leipzig

Here the Monday demonstrators brought down the Honecker regime. Here the memory was still present on Saturday. Speakers from the middle of society evoked resistance against the Berlin government apparatus.

It is all too obvious to people that the government is abusing the Robert Koch Institute to give its propaganda a scientific coating. That some inexperienced, affluent adolescents from parents of the affluent middle class act as “anti-fascists” and support the course of the Berlin neo-fascists, one would have to describe as ridiculous, if it were not symptomatic of the confusion among the youth who see themselves as left-wing. The experienced people of Leipzig still know how the label “anti-fascist” was used for a certain protective wall. And they are suspicious, when they experience the rituals for July 20th, whether they arise from a secret admiration of the reign of terror. Jenninger probably knew what he was saying when he spoke of the fascination of National Socialism.

However, the mainstream press or the media cannot be accused of confusion when they try desperately to give the corona viruses, in particular the Sars-Cov-2, a special role. These people know what they are doing: they know that the defense of the coup by the Berlin government against the constitutional order serves the purpose of saving the privileges of the upper middle class into the new era. The unconditional adherence to the supposedly special danger of the corona virus symbolizes the defense of the hierarchical order with all its privileges.

In view of the collapsing capitalist social order with no prospects, they cling to their monopoly of reporting, even if the “reports” about the number of “new infections” seem increasingly bizarre and ridiculous. A very rough awakening must be expected at this height of fall.

The bankruptcies of the entertainment, hospitality and tourism industries are being glossed over. The fascist elimination of fundamental rights is still being defended. The preparations for inflation with the expropriation of all financial assets, which are easy to grasp, are also being pushed out of the public eye. This obedience of the decisive opinion makers is due to the perception of the looming danger. It is hoped that the Berlin putschists will fend off the worst of them and shift the burden onto the lower classes.

The people of Leipzig have already seen a collapse and struggled. You still know a press that has been synchronized and a black channel that you are reminded of when you think of the daily attempts by ARD and ZDF to present reality or the epidemic situation differently than you actually perceive it.

  1. Sure, we have the right to demonstrate.
But here, too, it is important to comply with existing laws and ordinances.

The demo in Leipzig showed that the majority of the participants are unwilling and unable to do so. And the organizer failed when you saw which groups the demonstrators were made up of. There were people there who belong to the right-wing extremist spectrum. And do these demonstrate for freedom?
Where is the outcry from those who have made lateral thinking their concern?

We need a nonviolent uprising among the decent in this country.

    1. You must not fall for the inflammatory propaganda of the media. Democracy, freedom and human rights were called for in the speeches, banners and slogans. This right-left scheme is a media trick and completely unsuitable for judging the democracy movement, which is located in the middle of society.
If you follow the proceedings with the entire lead-up, you will notice that the political administrations want to prevent the demonstrations, they want to force them into uninhabited areas or, as in Bavaria, ban them altogether. That the police leaders see through this and keep their nerves is a new finding.
