Easter is over

Now, as every year, the curve of the infection with the virus gradually begins to flatten out according to the natural course.

But how can you get back from restricting your freedom without losing face? B. Johnson quickly jumped up after realizing what an excellent tool a mass panic could be to consolidate government power. And all the evils that arise from Brexit and the economic crisis can then be blamed on the ghostly virus. Even Putin, who doesn't need these tricks, postpones the referendum; first he wants to stylize himself as a caring ruler. Trump recognized this opportunity faster and the propaganda effort pays off in approval ratings. As a political novice, only Bolsonaro has so far dispensed with this instrument of mass manipulation. Under Fukushima, the Japanese were already so valid that they could no longer scare them with the flu and therefore refrained from mobilizing the mass media.

However, the collapse of the economy with deflationary shock and the simultaneous lack of supply and demand has not yet reached everyone's consciousness and all blame can be sought in the Corona crisis. In fact, however, all economists with rank and name had previously said that the permanent German foreign trade surplus was not a sustainable model of business and could not be sustained. The economist Flassbeck describes the fact that Scholz now praises himself for this economic model at the moment it collapses as the stupidest thing Scholz could say about it.

Greece was too small to defend itself against the German austerity dictate. Leaving the euro would have been a terrible end. Now the Greeks trust in German promises without end. Italy, which also suffered (and still suffers) from the mainly German austerity policy, was too important to cover the economic decline and the degradation to the labor pool only with populist slogans. Here, harsher measures were needed to discipline and make the people docile: a general curfew and the media barrage with panic and fear of death. The fact that such tough measures are used shows the economic shock that is looming. In the broken-down health care system in Italy, a number of 600 deaths a day was not uncommon at the height of the flu wave. But the media recognized how important they were and that there was an opportunity to take part in the rule and played along.

Only the Internet is going to put a spanner in the works. There is still occasionally the possibility of correcting the trend reports from the mass media. Ultimately, the immobilization of the masses cannot succeed if it is not combined with material degradation. The unions have already been dealt with across Europe. Only in France are they still opposed to the austerity course. Therefore, they are threatened with Le Pen.

In France, too, the neoliberal course was accompanied by the liberalization of public life. Part-time work increased, young people allowed themselves a year without work (sabbatical), shorter working life…. This threatened to restrict the utilization of labor (the source of profit).

For this reason, the political class only sees an economic shock with subsequent currency reform as a suitable means of abolishing the liberalization of public life and resuming the austerity course.

  1. To put it bluntly:
We are just beginning. I think the current measures such as a contact ban or curfew (Bavaria, Saarland) are justified. The majority of Germans also see it as one sees the approvals across all party borders.
The exponential increase in new infections will probably decrease somewhat (!). At the moment we have a doubling every 5 days. Our health system would never be able to cope with that. We hope that maybe it will happen every 10 days.
But still; there are still too many shortcomings. No protective masks and no protective clothing and no disinfectants. That cannot and must not be true in a leading industrial nation.
Where are the stocks at doctors, hospitals, pharmacies and especially at the federal and state levels? These things are also needed for a “normal” influenza!

    Medication and vaccine?
Maybe it will succeed that some already approved drugs are also suitable. Wait. In any case, there won't be any new ones anytime soon and vaccine will probably not be available until the end of 2021! Sure, laboratory-wise it probably happened earlier; but the admission procedures can only be shortened to a limited extent! You know that!
Which pharmaceutical company would want to take the risk? Contergan is the dangerous example.

And in general: In October 2007, the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (BBK) carried out a civil protection exercise (Mon to Fri) in AHRWEILER under the leadership of the RKI.
The topic at that time was “Corona Pandemic”. The background to this was the spread of the SARS virus in 2002/2003.
Name of the exercise “LÜKEX2007 ″ (LänderÜberrossendeKrisenExercice)
About this exercise and the results there is a description of the risk analysis “Pandemic by Virus Modi-SARS” which has been published. Everyone can read on the net:

    Title: Printed matter 17/12051, briefing
by the Federal Government, report on risk analysis in civil protection 2012
There's more in there; but here the numbers are important. 2.3 and Annex 4.

I have the impression that the responsible politicians in the federal and state governments have never read this. In 2007 they were also participants.

Anyone reading this has to come to the conclusion that everything has happened the same way, although it was just an exercise.

Another later study comes from the Fraunhofer Institute for Scientific and Technical Trend Analysis. It reads: PANDEMIC INFLUENZA IN GERMANY 2020 - scenarios and options for action.

I understand that this situation is also about avoiding panic among the population under all circumstances. So far, this has also been achieved, apart from the few idiots who heap toilet paper in the basement.

Conclusion for the post-Corona period: Despite all globalization, certain skills must remain available in the country. It makes no sense to have tablets manufactured in India or China. The share of personnel costs for these goods is only 5%. The machines are the same, regardless of whether they are manufactured in the Far East or in Europe.

    1. Viruses and bacteria are part of our body, our natural existence. We couldn't live without them. We can never completely destroy bacteria or viruses. With bacteria, we can shift the balance somewhat. But if we do it excessively, as is done in Italy, we will experience the known consequences. We can then no longer help people with a weakened immune system, preferably those with multiple illnesses.
There is no killer virus, only in bad Hollywood films (as it currently has its world premiere). Eight to ten million Germans carry corona viruses and if we test them all, we will discover them all.
The idea that we could kill the corona viruses is absurd. The test currently available measures all types of corona viruses, not just Covid-19.
It is irresponsible talk from politicians to promise a drug against Corona. Vaccination would not change the mortality of the seriously ill either.
For the foreseeable future, we can only fight the underlying diseases and strengthen the body's defenses, which aim at a balance.
The fight against swine flu ended catastrophically. The company that made the anti-flu drug (Tamiflu) made billions without anyone else benefiting.

  2. It's basically not a contradiction to what I said.

My goal was to make the failure or ignoring of known investigations and risk analyzes clear. Nobody can talk themselves out of knowing nothing. You could have known if you wanted! The RKI, the BMI, the BMG and the corresponding representatives as the state ministries were all present.

    Secondly:
Some of the surely recognized virologists struggle to convey the truth to the public. This does not only require the corresponding physician. A pandemic also calls for mathematicians and statisticians. Because only these people can overlook the numerical effects. And based on the numbers, politics has to act. In any case, a lashet is not one of the people involved.

The Spanish flu of 1918-1920 showed us what numbers we could or could face if there were no suitable countermeasures. There were more people killed than in WW1 and WW2 together!

    Third, you have to know:
If, based on unskilled information, it is established in public opinion that the first vaccination will already be available in summer 2020, and this would be available to everyone, then this perception is FALSE.
There will certainly be something at the laboratory level, but you can't buy that and it can't and shouldn't be produced in bulk.
Pharmaceutical development is a long-lasting, due to international rules, lengthy, often formal-bureaucratic business.
On the one hand, the effectiveness, durability, side effects, tolerability, dosage must be proven in several studies that run for months; on the other hand, the production steps must be verified and validated, this also affects the plants themselves, how they are designed, why they are so designed, tolerances, risks, disruptions.
Merchandise may only be produced when all steps in the development of active ingredients and the development of machines and systems have been successfully documented and have been audited for consistency and consistency.
And every expansion of capacity has to be verified and validated again.
    This takes a while!
