Spahn has finally resigned.

He has caused a lot of damage:

• He was instrumental in pushing through the lockdown.
• He enforced the mask mandate and gained many advantages for himself in the process.
• He almost succeeded in implementing mandatory vaccinations. But even with mandatory vaccinations for healthcare workers and soldiers, he harmed many people and caused great suffering. Many elderly people died prematurely, and young people also suddenly collapsed and died on sports fields or elsewhere in public.

Spahn has always fulfilled the CDU's instructions. For this, he is now being praised by the CDU and SPD bigwigs. But treating babies like merchandise was too much for the CDU grassroots. They feared losing votes in the upcoming state elections.

And who will succeed Spahn now? Merz needs support in his mobilization efforts.

•  He now wants to spend €200 billion annually on armaments and create the largest army in Europe. Klingbeil and Bas are assisting him in this endeavor. However, they are losing increasing support among SPD voters, who refuse to accept that they should restrict their lifestyles for the sake of the CDU's rearmament program.
• The CDU, which is supposedly family-friendly, plans to restrict the co-insurance of wives.
• Health insurance premiums will become more expensive for those insured.
• The prescription fee will be increased.
• Care for elderly people is to be restricted and made more expensive.
• The housing shortage remains unchanged. Instead, more and more immigrants are competing for the scarce housing.
• The minimum wage is not actually increased, but only symbolically, so that the standard of living falls due to inflation.

But Merz, Klingbeil, and Bas have to shovel many billions of euros into Ukraine. There can never be enough billions. That's not "living beyond our means."

And the Left Party pretends to oppose the government's course. However, they voted for Merz in the chancellor election after his initial failure, and now they consistently support the war effort while remaining silent on the arms buildup. They offer a little support for conscientious objectors. But that's all. Because genuine opposition would mean losing their status as a firewall party and being excluded from lucrative positions. Who, then, would oppose the squandering of societal wealth through rearmament?

 Things look bleak for Germany.
