What we have to expect now
There is no opposition in the Bundestag except the AfD.
The Left Party and the Green Party also helped Merz become chancellor. Without the promise of high-paying positions, these two parties will not have sold their votes. With a sum of 1,000 billion euros, there's enough left over for donations to their party officials and their clientele. The press and television also needn't worry about their salaries and pensions.
- The arms buildup continues, heavy industry makes huge profits, Rheinmetall's share price skyrockets. Russia will remain our enemy forever (Wadephul). The Israeli genocide is praised.
- The lower class and most middle-class retirees must bear the burden of the money supply expansion. The press and television will continue to claim that Trump, Putin, or soon the Chinese, are to blame for the economic decline.
- The infiltration of low-skilled workers from poorer countries continues unabated. Doctors and engineers are lured from developing countries with comparatively high salaries.
- Freedom of expression is being increasingly curtailed. Only spokespeople for the (pseudo-)opposition are allowed to speak out against the government, provided they have agreed to vote for the government in important votes such as the chancellor election, etc. Anything else is hate and incitement. The relevant laws are being handed over to the judiciary.
- Heating costs, rising energy prices, and rents are being pushed aside as issues. Now, "military readiness" is more important. This term was also popular with Goebbels and the Nazis when economic collapse was looming.
- The woke agenda (gendering, sexual "self-determination") continues to be pursued. The fight against climate change continues to replace increasing prosperity, even for the lower classes. They must tighten their belts, and the people are expected to work until age 70. This is the agenda of the "mainstream parties."
But Merz will not usher in an era, and with his Taurus threat he will end just as miserably (as a doormat?) as Bärbock did with her declaration of war against Russia.

Now we understand why Wagenknecht and the Left Party parted ways: Left Party officials were concerned about their own perks and privileges and considered Wagenknecht, who was concerned about rearmament, a crackpot. They claimed she was out of touch, and in reality, it all ultimately came down to finances. Therefore, the old leftists in Thuringia secured the Ministry of Finance for themselves. This satisfied a broad section of officials.
We don't know whether direct payments have already been made to the Berlin leadership. But these people are now vulnerable to blackmail. If they don't participate in the rearmament program and want to stop the debt orgy, they are threatened with the publication of the payments. So they will make a big noise in front of the cameras but then agree out of "public responsibility."

- During the vote of no confidence against Brandt, Barzel had at least 50 DM paid, but this did not succeed because the SPD also bribed CDU parliamentarians
